“New-to-Me” Blogs
Christmas came early this month in the discovery of two new-to-me blogs written by librarian Katie Fitzgerald. I hope you enjoy them also.

  • Story Time Secrets
Katie Fitzgerald describes this blog as a resource for librarians, early childhood educators and parents. I think it is also useful for illustrators and writers planning school visits because there is a discussion of how to use specific books for story time for a specific age group.
  • Secrets & Sharing Soda
This is a sister blog to Story Time Secrets that focuses on reviews of books for beginning readers up to YA readers.

Barbara DiLorenzo & Atlantic Avenue Children’s Story Reading Series
Tomorrow — Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11:00 am — is the big day. Check out a wonderful writer and illustrator, Barbara DiLorenzo, reading her prize winning submission “Atlantic Avenue Dragon.” The reading is part of the Atlantic Avenue Children’s Story Reading Series. Please RSVP here and get thyself to Table 87!

Last September this blog included a post on The Memory Project.  Here is the updated portrait, but there’s more work to be done before the end of the month.

Not only a beautiful intention, but another beautiful portrait.
